Sree Ram Mandir

     Sri Sri 108 Sri Mahan Baba Ram Ratna Das jee  had under gone severe austerities, to whom Hanuman gave Darshan ( spiritual sight) and inspired him to build a temple of Lord Sri Ram in the temple premises of Vaishnavdevi. Hence, this Babajee got a temple of Lord Ram built in Khak-Chok, which is worth seeing.


Bhairav Mandir

     This is situated at about half a kilometer from the Goddess  temple of Vaishnadevi. It has been connected by steps and a pathway too. The place where Bhairav’s head was lying, after being beheaded by the Goddess, there the temple of Bhairav was built and this is at an altitude of 6,700 feet. There is also a belief that the pilgrimage is not considered to be complete with out having the Darshan of Bhairav.


Bhumika Mandir

      This historic temple is situated about 2 miles away from the road that leads to ‘Ponthalâ€? Story from this, The very place makes a connection of the appearance of Goddess in Kaliyuga an era full of moral and spiritual corruption in the world. It was told about 700 year’s back the Goddess gave a Darshan to Sridhar in the form of a teen-aged girl. This very transcendental young girl left for putting an end to the atrocities of the demon â€?a href="vdevi_temples.aspx#BHAIRAV">Bhairavâ€?



      It is situated about 43 kms distance from Jammu on the way to Katra, near village Numai. There is a pathway leading from Numai to Devamai. This place is considered to be the second place of visit in the pilgrimage. In this place one finds the deity of Goddess Vaishnavdevi and a Trishul. During the earlier days of when people used to undertake the entire journey on foot from Jammu, this place used to be very busy with jam-packed pilgrims.


Other Temples

     Vaishnavdevi temple  is an extraordinary structure  that was built naturally in the  up hill  at the location with an altitude of 6000 feet (ASML). The temple was existing in the cave since the primeval days. It comes in the mythology that the shrine was built by the Pandav brothers (Mahabharat epic) which is Around  ninety feet  structure. Icons of several Hindu deities and demigod and goddess are  inscribed  on it. Sculpted Vakra Tunda Ganesha, Surya Dev, Chandra Dev could be seen at the entrace of the gate and when one creep in side the grotto Lord Bramha, Vishnu, Maheswera,Kamadhenu, Pandav brothers Hanuman as Launkra Veer gives Darshan throughout the tunnel. Besides the emblem of Shanka (Conch) Chakra(Wheel), Gada(Mace) Padma (Lotus) are engraved there in.

      Incourse of time, the devotees of the Goddess had transformed the stone structure  into a temple built of concrete. And now it is a beautiful construction. As one enters into the temple compound, on the right side is the big building built by the Sridhar Sabha, in which thousands of pilgrims can be accommodated. Again if one proceeds a little further, can find multi-storied buildings built by Rawalpindi Sabha. In addition to this there is also a huge building built by Raja Ranvir Singh. There are all sorts of facilities available in this place. Be depositing some advance amount one can get all required items like blankets, bed-covers, quilts, torches, lanterns, cooking items, kitchen items. There shall be no problem or inconvenience of any sort. There are restaurants and hotels, which are opened round the clock where food, tea, snacks, Puja (worship)  paraphernalia etc. are available all 24 hours  day.
